Tokyo Rain

A city becomes an entirely different world when it rains.

Tokyo in the rain carries a tranquil rhythm. The asphalt streets are washed clean like polished obsidian, reflecting neon lights and umbrellas passing through crowded intersections.

Moisture hangs in the air beneath the elevated train tracks. Every passing headlight casts a prolonged streak of soft glow through the mist.

Without chasing dramatic contrasts, I simply raise the camera to capture raindrops sliding down eaves, and solitary silhouettes vanishing around the corner.
